August Update

The right products in the right shop

One owner may run an agrovet and an electronics shop, or a gas outlet and a beauty shop, inside the same FortyPOS business. Those branches should not be forced to work from one mixed product catalogue.

Branch Catalogue lets the owner decide exactly which products are available at each location. A product may belong to one branch or be shared across several branches.

Agrovet staff can stay focused on animal-health products while electronics staff see electronics—without separating the owner’s overall business account.

What changes for branch staff

Relevant product lists

Product screens and searches show items assigned to the active branch.

Cleaner POS selection

Cashiers do not browse products belonging to another shop or business line.

Relevant reorder alerts

Low-stock and reorder information follows that branch and its assigned products.

Server-side protection

Unassigned products are rejected from new branch sales, not merely hidden on screen.

Manage it on web or mobile

On web, open Products → Branch Catalogue. In the Android app, open Products → Tools → Branch Catalogue. Choose a branch, assign its products and save.

Existing records remain safe

Historical sales and purchases are preserved. Existing products are initially assigned using their stock and transaction history, while products without clear branch evidence remain visible for owner review.

Organise every branch clearly

Keep one owner view while giving each shop a catalogue that matches what it actually sells.
