A smoother checkout when customers need more time
A customer may need to confirm an item, find their payment, or step away from the counter. The cashier should not have to cancel that order or make everyone else wait. FortyPOS now supports held sales on both the web console and mobile app.
The cashier can hold the current cart, optionally give it a customer or order label, complete another sale, and reopen the held order when the first customer is ready.
Held sales keep the checkout moving without recording an unfinished order as a completed sale.
How it works
Pause the cart
Keep the products, quantities, prices, batches, units and selected customer together.
Start another sale
Clear the active checkout and help the next customer without losing the first order.
Continue checkout
Restore the customer and cart, review stock warnings, then complete payment normally.
Available on web and mobile
On the web console, open Sales → Held Sales. On Android, use the Held Sales tile on the Home screen or the held-sales button inside POS.
Accurate stock and sale records
Holding a cart does not create a completed sale, payment, receivable, or stock movement. Stock is checked again when the order is resumed, and the cashier is warned if availability has changed. The held copy is removed after checkout succeeds.
Also improved in this release
- More accurate web and mobile reports
- Better date, branch and report filters
